Half Day – Fossils Trek

This half-day fossil trek from Puerto Guadal begins with a short 25-minute drive to the trailhead, where your adventure into Patagonia’s diverse landscapes starts. The first stretch takes you through serene lenga forests, offering shade and a chance to spot local flora and fauna. As you continue, the scenery opens into wide grasslands before gradually ascending above the tree line into a striking, barren terrain reminiscent of a Martian landscape.

From this elevated vantage point, enjoy breathtaking 360° panoramic views of the Northern Patagonian Ice Field, the vast blue expanse of General Carrera Lake, and the untouched Patagonian wilderness stretching in every direction.
