The story of Errática begins in a remote land:
raw, untamed, and full of quiet wisdom

SCROLL DOWN
Meet the founders
We can assure you that you will be in the best hands to live the most special adventures.
Ilango
Ilango is an Indian not from the Americas but from India, who now calls patagonia-home. A wildlife researcher who has been involved in several research and conservation projects over 12 years in various countries. He’s an expert horse rider and also a firefighter from Puerto Guadal. Conversations along the way with this singular character will definitely give you an added value on your adventures through Patagonia.
Totó
Toto is a country soul as she hails from a traditional “huaso” Chilean family; a cozy home, tasty food, hosting dinners, and always attending to people. She has been mastering the art of organic farming over the last couple of years and involved with various projects in the region and internationally. She is also active in initiatives comprising education programs in Puerto Guadal. A natural leader, always pushing to get the best results with teamwork and love. Sometimes, this may include a big smile.
Our philosophy
The word "erratic" comes from the Latin verb "errare," which means "to wander" or "to stray. In the Geological definition it refers to a boulder or rock formation that has been transported by a glacier or other geological process and is now located far from its original source. We believe this marriage of concepts is what defines us. Our co-founders have traveled from long distances and ended up in a spectacular amphitheatrical hillside (Erratica ranch) which is sprinkled with erratic rocks.
We work hand in hand with a network of expert collaborators
We work alongside experts who know the land like the back of their hand. Our passionate collaborators are deeply connected to the local culture and history, who put their knowledge and heart into everything they do to offer you an authentic, enriching, and unforgettable experience.

Vicente Bahamondes
Climbing and Mountain Guide
Chile
Vicho is an expedition guide specializing in nature tourism, with extensive experience leading groups and coordinating operations in remote Patagonian environments. My work has ranged from route planning and field logistics, to coordinating and supervising work groups, to providing environmental and cultural interpretation for national and international visitors. Mountaineering and climbing are two great passions that I share professionally and recreationally with family, friends, and also with clients and/or participants on trips I've led.
Leopoldo Mansilla
Gaucho
With over 50 years of working these mountains and valleys, Leopoldo Mansilla is a true Patagonian gaucho. Born and bred in these lands, his grandparents were the first settlers in this region. His life revolves around working in the fields: sheep, cows, horses, and daily ranch maintenance have always been part of his routine. Today, Leopoldo wants to share this little piece of paradise with you. As a horseback riding guide, he invites you to discover trails he knows of the back of his hand, stories born from the heart of the countryside, and a way of life that is authentic, simple, and deeply connected to nature.
