General Plan

A versatile, unforgettable half‑day adventure departing from Puerto Guadal that lets you choose how you want to experience Patagonia — from gentle horseback connection to a taste of traditional ranch life.

Option 1 — Horse Connection Experience

Connect with Patagonia’s horses in a mindful and soulful way. This experience is designed for riders of all levels — especially beginners, families, or anyone who wants more than just a trail ride.

What you’ll do

  • Meet your guides and horses at Errática’s riding centre
  • Briefing on horsemanship basics — grooming, saddling, and communication with your horse
  • Practice riding in a secure area and learn fundamental skills
  • Guided trail ride through scenic valleys and hills to Maqui Waterfall for panoramic views and photos
  • Return to the ranch for a relaxed end with cheese & wine and a chance to chat and take photos with your horse

This experience blends nature, mindful connection, and gentle riding — perfect if you want to feel grounded, present, and part of Patagonia’s rhythms.

Option 2 — Ranch‑Style Cultural Experience

Step into the boots of a gaucho and feel what daily life is like on a Patagonian ranch. Ride with real gauchos through forests, open fields, hills, and streams as you help with herding, counting, and checking cattle — just like they’ve done for generations.

What you’ll do

  • Ride across varied terrain with experienced ranch hands
  • Learn traditional skills of cattle management and horse handling
  • Experience the rhythms of ranch life — from field to stream
  • Immerse yourself in local culture, landscapes, and the authentic spirit of Patagonia

This option is ideal for adventurous spirits eager to dive into local way of life and feel the land the way the gauchos do.

Doesnt Include

  • Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing
  • Sturdy shoes or boots suitable for riding
  • Sunscreen and sunglasses
  • Water bottle
  • Swimsuit and small towel (especially for the Maqui Waterfall option)
  • Small backpack for personal items
